Social Media for Foodies
I am by no means an expert food blogger, but I do write and talk online about food, cooking and recipes quite a bit, and love hanging with the real foodies whenever I get the chance.
Here’s where you can find me:
- I occasionally write about family-friendly food ideas for the Food and Meal Planning section of Cozi.com and blog about food for The Balancing Act TV show on Lifetime TV.
- I co-host Foodies Night In, the #1 Food party on Twitter with the awesome gals at Cooking With Caitlin. You can catch me there using my Cozi Twitter handle @CoziFamily, every Monday 1-3pm PST using the hashtag #FNIchat. Please do stop by and share your recipes, ideas and anything else you’ve got on your plate.
How I got into it:
My new friends are always astonished to learn this, but I did actually take cooking classes at one point, and lived rent-free in New York City as a grad school student by working as a personal chef.
Three kids later, when I started working at Cozi, this background in cooking came in handy, because as almost anyone can tell you, getting dinner on the table is a HUGE hassle for most moms, not to mention all the packed lunches we have to make too. And since Cozi offers shopping lists and meal planning tools, it just made sense to start offering family-friendly recipes and food ideas too.
Heck, I might even write a few foodie posts on my social media blog here, just for fun. — Carol
